FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Fairborn marching band members are shocked and upset that someone stole their new trailer. Now, they're asking for the community's help.
The 24-foot white trailer was stolen from the school's parking lot over the weekend. Luckily, band members had removed all of their equipment just before the theft. The $6,000 trailer had recently been donated by a community member to help the band transport instruments and props to competitions. In fact, the first time the band used the new trailer was this past Friday.
"It's just very hard to getting to competitions without a trailer. I think I can speak for the entire band when I say that we're all really upset about this and just ashamed that somebody from our community would do this to us," says band member Taylor Mullins.
The band will be holding a fundraiser at TJ Chumps on Dayton-Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn from 6:30 to 7:30 Tuesday night.
If you know anything about the theft, call Crimestoppers at 222-7867.
