SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - People who live in the White Fence Farm neighborhood were shocked to hear about the recent burglaries in the area.
Sugarcreek Township Police say the suspects are ringing the doorbell during the day and if they get no answer, they're forcing their way into the home through a backdoor. If someone answers, they give a reasonable excuse.
It's happened on Land Drive, Napa Valley Road and Little Sugarcreek Road.
Now, police are asking people to watch their neighbors' homes, especially if they aren't there and be on the lookout for anything unusual.
"We, in this neighborhood look out for each other and always keep an eye out on each others' homes. So, absolutely, we'll keep an eye out now that we know something is going on," says Bill Hitchman.
If you have any information on the burglaries, call Crimestoppers at 222-7867.
