Two flu clinics scheduled in Greene Co.

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Greene County Combined Health District (GCCHD) has announced that it will hold two (2) H1N1 community flu clinics (nasal mist only) for students and eligible community members in Beavercreek and Xenia as follows:


Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009:

Xenia High School (cafeteria), 303 Kinsey Rd., Xenia; 1:00 – 2:15 for high school students only and 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. for eligible community members.

Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009:

Beavercreek High School (auditorium), 2660 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek; 1:00 – 3:15 p.m. for high school students only and 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for eligible community members.

Flumist is the only vaccine available at these clinics, so ONLY the following healthy people are eligible for vaccination:

  • Healthy persons 49 years or younger who live with or provide care for infants < 6months of age
  • Healthy persons 49 years or younger who are health-care or emergency medical personnel
  • Healthy children and young adults aged 2 years to 24 years of age

Pregnant women are NOT eligible for this nasal mist clinic.

There is no charge for the H1N1 vaccine.

Additional H1N1 flu clinics will be scheduled as more H1N1 vaccine becomes available.

Important: For faster service at the clinic, please visit our website, www.gcchd.org (click on H1N1 information and you will see a link for the H1N1 consent form to the right). Download, print and complete a form for each person who will be receiving the H1N1 vaccination. Bring your completed form with you to the clinic.
