BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - A would-be bank robber suffered a medical condition while trying to hold up the Huntington Bank on Lakeview Drive at North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek, police there said Friday.

Police say Robert Strank, 39, of Dayton requested a medic as he walked up to the counter.  Tellers called 911 and asked for medics.

While the medics were on their way, police say the suspect handed a note to the teller demanding cash.

Medics briefly examined the suspect before turning him over to police. He was taken from the bank in police custody.

Strank is being held at the Greene County Jail on a count of attempted robbery.  His bond is set at  $25,000.00.

Police say Strank does have a history of robbery convictions.
