DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Miami Valley Hospital is expanding operations in Greene County.

Hospital officials announced Aug. 20, plans to build a 24-hour Emergency Department in Jamestown.

The project will be housed in the Living Waters Professional Building located at 4940 Cottonville Road.

“Patients from Jamestown and other communities in Greene, Clinton and Fayette Counties will benefit tremendously by having this service near to where they live,” says Bobbie Gerhart, president and CEO of Miami Valley Hospital. “The new 24-hour emergency facility will provide earlier treatment for emergency medical care, when seconds count.”

Construction will begin by the end of August and the hospital expects to begin treating emergency cases at the new facility by March 2013.
