DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Wheelchair bound woman is being treated at the hospital after she was struck by a car this afternoon.

Witnesses tell 2NEWS that the victim was moving in the crosswalk at Third and Ludlow Streets when the southbound vehicle hit the wheelchair dragging it several feet.

The woman was thrown onto the roadway. Witnesses say the driver didn't know she had hit the wheelchair and was actually dragging it.

The victim wasn't hurt seriously but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver was cited and told 2NEWS her view was obstructed by a passing RTA bus.
