DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton fire fighters had to make a slithery rescue during a house fire Monday afternoon.

Crews responded to 238 West Grand Avenue shortly after 2:30 pm. to find heavy smoke pouring from the rear of the home.

Witnesses said they heard a pop just before they saw the smoke.

Everyone in the home got out okay, but fire fighters had to rescue several snakes.

Surrounding neighbors will be without power for awhile while the investigation into the fire continues.
