DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - New insight into the tragic crash that killed a pregnant woman and her daughter.

Police say two men were in a vehicle that struck and killed Keyana Alexander, her unborn child and 3-year old Ebonie Walker on Danner Avenue Sunday night.

For now, Darrell Chatman and Quenton Walker have been released from jail.

Officials tell us both face charges of vehicular homicide, but investigators have to wait for test results before they can move forward with the case.

"Initially, it was hurt, like I couldn't believe the coincidence. How ironic it was that my uncle was the one who hit her," said Jonny Watson, grandmother/sister.

30- year old Ebony Walker breaks his silence about the hit and run accident that claimed the life of his 3 year old daughter, also named Ebonie.

Her mother, Keyanna and her unborn child also died Sunday night after the car hit them on Dayton's west side.

A twist of fate is the man who police say was driving, is the toddler's great uncle.
"When he find out who he hit? he didn't know who he had hit he knew he had hit somebody something or somebody."

Jonny Watson is the grandmother of little Ebonie, mother to son, Ebony and sister to suspect Quenton Walker who didn't know until after he was in jail who had died in the accident.

What could help to hold the families together is memories of little Ebonie, a precocious 3 year old who was wise beyond her years.

A memorial fund has been set up in the names of Keyana Alexander and Ebonie Walker.

Donations can be made at any local Key Bank.

The funeral services for the victims will be held on Monday, February 27th at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton.

The service begins at 11:00am.
