NAACP educates vets about health benefits

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The NAACP wants to be sure local veterans know about all the health benefits available to them.
The group hosted an informational meeting Monday evening.
Experts talked about everything available to local veterans. Even they say knowing about all the benefits can be hard.
"There are a whole lot of veterans that just don't know, so our effort is to try to get them informed and get them certified so that they can receive some type of benefits," said John Chatman, NAACP.
The Dayton unit of the NAACP offers free informational events every month.
