DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The east side of Dayton may soon undergo a major transformation with international flair.

We're talking about East Third Street from Keowee Street to Sperling Avenue.

The proposal calls for new housing, renovated businesses and updated public spaces.

Officials hope the plan will attract more immigrants as well as part of the city's Welcome Dayton initiative.

"I have no problem as long as they take care of their home. I mean it doesn't matter who lives in it as long as they take pride in their house and their home," said Charlotte Bradley, resident.

The plan was presented to city leaders earlier this month. They are now reviewing it.
