DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police believed at least four people may have been involved in the robbery.

It happened on St. Nicholas Avenue in broad daylight, on Monday.  The victim, 64-year old Irene Lewis, told 2 News that in just minutes, these robbers took all the money she had worked hard to earn.

Lewis said first two women in their mid to late 20's showed up at her home, and asked to use the phone.  45 minutes after they left, a couple knocked on her door.  This time they put a gun to her head, just as she opened the door.

"They just pushed me back, put a gun in my face and said they want all my money," said Lewis.

Lewis said she tried not to show her fear.  The thieves did not get much.

"$50 in cash and a pair of Jordan gym shoes," said Lewis.

The suspects locked Lewis in the bathroom, and took her house phone before they left.

More than the money, Lewis believed the suspects needed help.

"It's so easy to take things.  They didn't have to do much, just walk in my house and put a gun to my head.  They didn't have to work for anything.  What takes me a few hours to make, took them just a few minutes to take," said Lewis.

Lewis did not get a much of a look at the invaders.  She described the couple as heavy set and muscular, and said they appeared to be in their late 20's or early 30's.
