GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A woman was is critical condition after she crossed an intersection in Darke County and was hit by a semi truck.
26-year-old Alisha Keith was walking eastbound across U.S. Route 127 just before midnight Tuesday, when a semi truck headed northbound hit her near Kruckenburg Road.
The tractor part of the semi hit Keith-- who deputies said was unresponsive when they arrived.
Keith was taken by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.
Officials believed Keith, who is from Gettysburg, may have been walking from Tail Gators Sports Bar and Grill to a friend's house.
Sergeant Steve Mills with the Darke County Sheriff's Deparment said semi truck driver, 52-year-old Thomas Runner, originally thought he had hit a deer.
The roadway was closed for about two hours overnight.
