Suspect bails after crashing into corn

VERSAILLES, Ohio (WDTN) - A suspected car thief is on the run in Darke County.

The suspect lead Miami County deputies on a chase late Monday morning that ended just inside the Miami County/Darke County line.

Witnesses told 2 NEWS the man crashed the car into a cornfield near the intersection of Kelch and St. Peters roads, southeast of Versailles, then abandoned the car and ran.

Deputies and officers from the Versailles Police Department continue to search for the suspect.
