BURKETTSVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - A Darke County man died Monday evening, apparently the victim of an electrocution.

The coroner was on the scene in Burkettsville on Plum Street, about 20 miles north of Greenville.

The initial call came in around 6:30pm.  The victim was found near a power source.

The coroner says the man was an employee at Werling and Sons which is a family owned business known for making canned meats.

He said high winds or lightning may have played a role, but he's not sure yet.

The victim's name has not been released.
