GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Some Greenville residents have a better neighborhood thanks to the city.

The city demolished a house at 208 South Ohio Street after it was declared a nuisance property.

The property owner was ordered to repair or demolish the house. He did not comply, so the city tore it down.

The demolition was paid for using city funds by J&A Construction. The cost of the asbestos abatement and demolition will be assessed to the taxes on the property to recover the tax dollars spent.
