CareFlight called after Greenville collision

4 people rushed to hospital

GREENVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Four people were rushed to the hospital after two cars crashed in Greenville Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. 36 and Arcanum-Bears Mill Road around noon on Sunday.

According to the Darke County Sheriff's Office, 77-year-old Donnie Baker was driving north on Arcanum-Bears Mill Road and stopped at the intersection of U.S. 36. Baker pulled into the intersection and was hit by 40-year-old Jimmy Keen going east on U.S. 36.

Donnie Baker and hIs passenger Larry Baker were trapped inside their vehicle and had to be extricated. Both were airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital.

Keen was also transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. Keen's passenger, 15-year-old Jimmy Keen Jr., was taken to Wayne Hospital.

Darke County deputies, Gettysburg Fire and Rescue, Greenville Township Rescue, and two CareFlight helicopters responded to the scene.

At this time, the conditions of all four victims are unknown.

Charges are pending for failure to yield at a stop sign.

The accident remains under investigation.
