CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - In a Clark County courtroom, Alicia Edwards faced the man authorities say killed her husband.
"My kids. Who's going to help me to raise these kids," said Edwards.
Those are the endless slew of thoughts that run through Edwards' mind since laying her husband Earnest Edwards to rest.
Authorities said Julian Johnson, 29, shot and killed Edwards at the Nite Owl Tavern in late January.
Edwards tried to make eye contact with Johnson Monday morning in court.
"He wouldn't look at me and I wanted him to look at me. He would not look at me. No at all. I kept looking at him to see if he would give me contact. He wouldn't," said Edwards.
Johnson's eyes were fixed on Judge Denise Moody as he listened to the charges against him. Johnson is charged with murder and having weapons as a felon. He told the judge he's not guilty.
"You're cold to even stand up there and say you're bit guilty. You know you're guilty. You did it in front of billions of people. You points at a door an just let loose. You didn't care who you killed," said Edwards.
