CLARK CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A water main break in Clark County gave students in the Northwestern School District an extra day of vacation Wednesday.
1,800 students were probably happy to see the water bubbling up out of the ground.
The district canceled classes after students arrived for the day, so parents were notified that the kids were heading back home.
The break happened around 7:45 am Wednesday morning.
The city of North Hampton is responsible to fix it.
Some parents say the closure derailed their plans. "Yeah, I had to take the rest of the day off," said Tabitha Massie, parent.
There was no damage to the three schools affected.
The main was expected to be fixed by day's end, so it's back to class on Thursday.
