Springfield, Ohio (WDTN) - Parents of Northwestern students be careful to watch your P's and Q's while driving today.. because your children will be.
Thursday, Feb. 14 is Ticket Your Parents Day a unique program presented by the Ohio Teen Safe Driving Coalition.
Starting at 9 Thursday morning, Northwestern Middle School students near Springfield will receive a book of mock traffic tickets they can issue to their parents when they observe their parents engaging in unsafe driving behaviors.
Organizers of the program hope it will start a conversation between students and their parents which they can then share with their teachers and peers of what they've learned from in-class safe driving lessons this week.
