Springfield woman jailed over Jolly Ranchers

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Jolly Rancher candies are tasty, but are they worth a trip to jail? Well, maybe.
A Springfield woman was arrested after a fight over the candy. Springfield police say Buffy Jo Sample, 41, became upset with her boyfriend when he refused to share his Jolly Rancher candies.
Ronald Massie says she grabbed him around the neck inside their Springfield apartment Wednesday night. He then says she snatched away his cell phone as he tried to call police.
Massie told police he left the house and made his way to a family member's home to make the call to police.
Sample is now charged with domestic violence, assault and disruption of public services.
