NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - New Carlisle residents rang in the New Year NYC style Monday night.
The fourth annual event was held downtown from 9 p.m. - 1a.m.
The town's New Year's eve ball will drop when the clock strikes midnight, welcoming 2013. Organizers said this year the ball is bigger than ever, weighing 200 lbs and more than seven feet tall.
Downtown shops remained open throughout the night as well with many owners serving food.
This marks the fourth year for the town's New Year's eve celebration. Organizers plan to continue the tradition in the years to come.
