SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - Two men were injured in two separate motorcycle accidents in Clark County over the weekend.

Clifford Combs, 56, of Springfield, was traveling northbound on Interstate 675 around 10:30 p.m. July 7, when according to Lt. Matthew C. Cleaveland of the Ohio State Highway Patrol,
he lost control while merging onto eastbound Interstate 70. Combs drove off the left side of the road and overturned. He was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center by Mad River Township EMS for treatment.

The second crash occurred around 4:25 a.m. on July 8 when James D. Richart, 53, of Urbana, lost control of his Harley Davidson merging from US 40 to US 68. Richart was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital.

The conditions of both men are unknown.

Lt. Cleaveland said alcohol was a factor in both crashes.
