Oldham cuts plea deal, sentenced to lesser charge

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A Clark County first responder was sentenced after making a plea deal with prosecutors.
Robert Oldham, 30, German Township police officer and firefighter, must surrender his police certificate after pleading no contest to furnishing alcohol to a minor and unlawful restraint.
Oldham was originally indicted for rape after being accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old girl during a party in German Township in July 2012.
Oldham was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, which was suspended, 60 days of electronic monitoring, then two years probation.
He must also attend counseling and pay $800 in court costs.
He is also prohibited from ever again apply for a job at the German Township Fire Department.
