SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The first 100 dining room customers at a newly renovated McDonald's restaurant in Springfield will receive one free Extra Value Meal a week for one year announced the fastfood chain prior to Friday's opening.
Construction on the new facility on Upper Valley Pike began in July as part of McDonald's commitment to reinvesting in Springfield and the entire Miami Valley. The new restaurant will be open 24 hours and offers numerous features designed to enhance the quality and speed of service, including digital menu boards, a dual lane drive-thru, a third drive-thru window and a dual point counter service system designed to improve service times. Flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi have also been added.
Approximately 80 new employees have been added at the four Springfield stores.
This year, McDonald's is renovating and rebuilding 12 locations in the Miami Valley with an investment totaling $16.6 million.
The store is located at 1160 Upper Valley Pike in Springfield and will open at 5 a.m. Friday.
