Most Wanted sex offender suspect arrested in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, La. (WDTN) - A wanted sex offender on the run, once thought to be hiding in Ohio, was recently captured in New Orleans.

Jimmy Ray McMillan, 42, is wanted in Texas for sexually assaulting a 9-year old girl whom he was baby-sitting.

He was taken into custody Wednesday night after surrendering to the New Orleans Police Department.  

McMillan, who as recently as Dec. 2012, was believed to be in the Springfield area, was featured twice last year on 2 NEWS as a suspect most wanted by the US Marshals.
 
McMillam is being held in the Orleans Parish Jail.
