NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Deputies were called to Mark Drive after they received an anonymous call that a man was smoking marijuana and drinking while he was supposed to be caring for his two young children.
When officers arrived, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the home.
According to deputies, Terrance Cearley admitted he had been smoking marijuana and drinking and said his 15-year-old son and his 14-year-old friend were caring for his six and seven-year-old kids.
Upon further investigation, officials found the two teens were also drinking.
Deputies did not find any marijuana or drug paraphernalia in the home.
The teens were charged with offenses involving underage persons. Cearley was charged with child endangering.
Cearley will appear in court Monday.
The two young children were returned to their mother's custody.
