CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - Walking into Tony Farley's basement is like stepping off a front porch straight into the town of Mayberry.
"Barney Fife would say I'm a nut for sure," Tony says.
For the last 17 years, Tony has been collecting all things related to the Andy Griffith Show.
For him, they're a reminder of a time when TV shows were black and white and so were values.
"I eat sleep and breathe Mayberry," Tony says. "It's a way of life for me. I want to treat people like Andy treated people on the show."
You can find everything in his basement from a banjo owned by Andy to a lamp made of Andy's and Opie's heads.
But they all pale in comparison to his prize possession, a car just like the one that patrolled the streets of Mayberry, only with a few upgrades like a built in DVD player.
"You can watch your favorite episode while you're on patrol," Tony says.
Tony offers rides in the Mayberry limo so that you can take your own trip through time.
"Everywhere we go people love the car," Tony says.
For everything the car has, one thing is missing.
Of the 33 signatures on the visor of his car from people with the Andy Griffith Show, Andy's isn't there.
"One of my biggest regrets is not getting to sit down and meet Andy Griffith in person," Tony says.
But like many of us, Tony didn't have to meet Andy to know him. He's there in more than 200 episodes, dispensing wisdom and advice along with a few laughs.
"I just had a little baby girl and I'm going to raise her up on Mayberry," Tony says. "She's going to be watching lots of reruns. That's the best thing you can do for a kid."
