SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A Springfield man was arraigned in court Wednesday morning on animals cruelty charges.
Robert Rife, 50, is facing four counts of animal cruelty after officials said they found one dog and three puppies with severe wounds and in poor health in the garage he lives in at 319 South Western Avenue. Twelve dogs in all were recovered from the garage.
Rife pleaded not guilty to the charges.
A judge set his bond at $5,000. A trial date has not been set.
