PARK LAYNE, Ohio (WDTN) - The Springfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has now identified the victim of a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers say Elizabeth Radcliff, 18, of New Carlisle, pulled out of a private driveway along State Route 235 in Park Layne, into the path of an oncoming SUV.
Radcliff was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver, Tamara Valentine, 53, of New Carlisle, was listed in fair condition Tuesday evening at Miami Valley Hospital.
The crash happened shortly after 4:00 pm. The road remained closed for two hours during the investigation.
Both of the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Bethel Township Fire and EMS, and New Carlisle Fire and EMS.
