SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The man who led police on an hour and a half long chase through four counties faced a judge on Monday.
26 year-old Shane Stokes pleaded guilty to four charges and his bond was set at $31,000.
Stokes was arrested on State Route 72 near East Possum Road around 6:15 Sunday night after he hit stop sticks.
Authorities told 2 NEWS Stokes then intentionally rammed a Clark County Police Cruiser.
It was a wild end to a wild chase, that started after Champaign County Sheriff's Deputies tried to stop Stokes' purple Ford Ranger.
In an effort to get away, investigators said Stokes reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour as he passed through Clark, Montgomery and Greene Counties.
At one point, officers lost sight of Stokes. It was during that time they said he committed at least two armed robberies in the Dayton area.
Stokes is now charged with fleeing and eluding, possession of Heroin, possession of drug instruments and felonious assault on a police officer.
Stokes is also facing charges in Champaign and Montgomery Counties.
The deputy who was hit, Clark County Sgt. Elliot, was treated and released from an area hospital.
