SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - A member of the Clark County Sheriff's office was honored for his efforts in saving lives on Tuesday.

Deputy Johnn Lemen was given a letter of commendation for his participation in Ohio's "drive sober or get pulled over" crackdown. Since January 1, 2012, Lemen has made 270 citations and 45 arrests for operating a vehicle under the influence. Lemen said traffic stops can be a major crime deterrent.

Deputy Lemen has been with the Clark County Sheriff's Department for 12 years.
