SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) - The Clark County Sheriff's Department has identified a suspect in the theft of a diamond ring from the Macy's at the Upper Valley Mall.
Deputies are now looking for Gibreal Jallow. They believe he may be in Columbus.
The sheriff says they have the evidence that should lead to the thief.
"The only thing they left behind were some fingerprints on the glass. We'd like to congratulate and thank the clerk there. They preserved those fingerprints and we were able to lift three fingerprints off of that glass and we were able to positively identify the individual that committed that robbery," said Sheriff Gene Kelly.
The ring is worth $9,000. If you have any information about Jallow or the missing ring, call the Clark County Sheriff's Department.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
