Snowmobile crash kills Champaign County man

WEST LIBERTY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Champaign County man was killed in a snowmobile accident Monday night.
Howard F. Wilkins, 42, of West Liberty was operating a snowmobile in a field along the 2400 block of East Kanagy Road in West Liberty shortly before 9:00 when he struck a tree, according to Champaign County Sheriff Matthew Melvin.
West Liberty Fire and EMS was called, but Wilkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff's Office.
