Driver listed as critical after slamming into ditch

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY (WDTN) - A one car crash in Champaign County Sunday night left the driver in critical condition.
Stephen A. Persinger lost control of his 2001 Acura TL while traveling eastbound on SR. 55 around 10:30, according to Lt. Matthew C. Cleaveland of the Springfield Post of the Highway Patrol.
Persinger veered off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and was ejected from the car.
He was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital.
Persinger was not wearing a seatbelt and the crash remains under investigation.
