URBANA (WDTN) - Budget cuts are shrinking the police force in Urbana.
City officials say they've been forced to lay off two officers, bringing the force down to 19.
The firefighters made concessions earlier this week to avoid layoffs in their department. However, police department representatives did not present a concessions package.
The layoffs go into effect January 31st.
