MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) - A police officer's quick action helped save a Middletown family from their burning home early Wednesday morning.
The officer spotted smoke coming from the garage on Buckingham Court around 2 a.m. Wednesday. He knocked on the door and woke up the five people inside. The woman who answered the door said she recognized the officer; they graduated high school together.
The fire damage appeared to be contained the family's garage. The state fire marshal's office was called to the scene to investigate a cause.
