MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) - The victim of a brutal attack at a Middletown laundromat talked for the first time Thursday about his ordeal.
David Jones, 57, was inside the Mid-Town Laundry on Verity Parkway Wednesday when a man approached him from behind and started hitting him with a stick.
The attack was caught on the laundry's surveillance camera .
Jones says he received 18 staples and four stitches to close the wounds on his face and head.
"I thought I was going to pass out, I was bleeding so bad," said Jones. "He kept going on and on. I didn't know how long I was going to last."
Jones says he was grateful that the camera were rolling.
Police describe the suspect as a balding man in his 40s or 50s with a goatee. He was wearing glasses, a long black jacket, blue jeans and work boots.
He left the scene in a small, red car.
