DARRTOWN, Ohio (WDTN) - Butler County drivers who use State Route 177 in their daily commute may need to find an alternate way to work as road crews shut down a portion of the highway near Darrtown Monday.
The Ohio Department of Transportation estimates a stretch of SR 177, south of Darrtown, will be closed for five months while crews replace a bridge.
The official detour calls for Northbound SR 177 traffic to take SR 130 to McGonigle, then to US 27 into Oxford, and on to SR 73 out of Oxford back to SR 177. Southbound traffic will take the same detour in reverse.
