BUTLER Co., Ohio (WDTN) - An election night pot bust is believed to be the largest in Butler County's history.
Sheriff's deputies seized 900 pounds of marijuana Tuesday night in Fairfield worth an estimated $1.1 million.
Officials say they intercepted a shipment from Mexico then went undercover to deliver the drug to an empty storefront in Fairfield.
"The Mexican drug cartel continues to ship these drugs here to the United States and to Butler County, Ohio, but they've continued to deliver them to the wrong place," said Sheriff Richard Jones, Butler County.
Two men were arrested in Fairfield on drug trafficking and possession charges.
The sheriff says the pair intended to sell the marijuana locally.
