CELINA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Grand Lake Task Force is working to cut off meth production at the source.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Department announced the arrests of five people accused of illegally buying too much pseudoephedrine.
The drug is used to make meth in homemade labs. It is illegal in Ohio to knowingly purchase or acquire more than 9 grams of any pseudoephedrine product within a 30-day period.
That is why big box stores make you buy the product at the pharmacy.
The task force arrested all five people on charges of unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine product. All the counts are misdemeanors.
The people charged are Christopher L. Brockman, 33, Christopher J. Steinbrunner, 41, Elizabeth M. Craw, 25, Joshua M. Wymer, 29, and Jason J. Bruggeman, age 31.

The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
