Petland lawsuit dismissed

CHILLICOTHE (WDTN) - Petland executives announced Saturday that a federal district court in Arizona has dismissed the class action lawsuit against it.

The suit was filed by six individuals and supported by the Humane Society of the United States. The Court’s ruling was delivered on August 7, 2009.

The Court ruled that the Complain in the lawsuit failed to provide any legal viable claims and failed to present any facts establishing a relationship between the injuries claimed by the plaintiffs and Petland.

Like the buying public and many animal support organizations, Petland is opposed to substandard breeders and favors the elimination of such breeders from the industry."
