DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County will hold a free H1N1 clinic that includes all the targeted groups.

Those groups include:

  • Pregnant women
  • Persons who live with or provide care for infants under 6 months (e.g., parents, siblings, and daycare providers)
  • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
  • Persons aged 6 months thru 24 years
  • Persons aged 25 thru 64 years who have chronic medical conditions such as lung or heart disease, diabetes, or other immuno-compromised conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.

Participants at the clinic will be required to complete a flu vaccination consent form. This form is available for download at phdmc.org and will also be available at the clinic. It is not necessary to print it out and complete it beforehand, but it will speed up the process at the clinic. These vaccination consent forms will also be available at local libraries in Montgomery County.

The free clinic is being held at University of Dayton Arena, 1801 Edwin Moses Blvd., Dayton, on Thursday, November 5 from 2 - 7 p.m., or until the vaccine is gone. Clinic participants should enter lot C, the entrance by Welcome Stadium.

Both nasal spray and shots will be available at the start of the clinic.

For additional information about Public Health H1N1 clinics, check phdmc.org or call the flu information line at 224-8796.
