DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - An Oakwood police officer has been charged with assault.

McCalister is a 14 year veteran of the Oakwood public safety department, where he currently worked on patrol.

Before being hired in Oakwood, McCalister spent ten years as a firefighter in Dayton where he was once named firefighter of the year.
