XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Greene County Combined Health District (GCCHD) has announced that it will hold two (2) flu clinics by appointment in Xenia at the Health District on Thursday, January 21, 2010 and Thursday, January 28, 2010. Both H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine will be available. These clinics are open to anyone 6 months of age and older.

For H1N1, both injections and the nasal mist will be available. There is no charge for the H1N1 vaccine.

For seasonal flu, the cost is $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children.

We accept Medicaid, CareSource, Molina, AmeriGroup or Medicare Part B. People with Medicare Part C and other insurances will need to pay cash and send a receipt to their insurance company for reimbursement. Cash and checks will be accepted.

The clinic schedules are as follows:

  • Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010: by appointment only; GCCHD, 360 Wilson Dr., Xenia.
  • Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010: by appointment only; GCCHD, 360 Wilson Dr., Xenia.

The GCCHD reminds parents and health care providers that children younger than 10 years of age should receive two doses of H1N1 flu vaccine in order to achieve optimal protection against pandemic flu. The two doses of H1N1 vaccine need to be at least 28 days apart to be effective.

Important for H1N1: For faster service at the clinic, please visit our website, www.gcchd.org (click on H1N1 information and you will see a link for the H1N1 consent form to the right). Download, print and complete a form for each person who will be receiving the H1N1 vaccination. Bring your completed form with you to the clinic.
To schedule an appointment, please call (937) 374-5655.
