TALLAHASSEE, FL (WDTN) - Red Cross volunteers from Dayton, who are on stand-by in Tallahassee, Florida to help with now tropical storm Isaac, will receive their orders Thursday morning.
2 News has been keeping up with the group who traveled to FL in an Emergency Response Vehicle on Friday.
In a Skype interview, volunteer Sydney Lewis said he and his team will most likely be stationed in southern Mississippi or Alabama to help residents there who are without power or displaced due to Isaac.
"Our ERV is stocked with food, water, and kits that allow us to serve hot meals," said Lewis. "We will also help distribute 'Clean up' kits which consist of shovels, mops, gloves and household cleaners."
2 NEWS will continue to follow Lewis and his team in the days ahead.
