TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) - A local family is fighting a potentially deadly disease with the help of people from another continent.

The Sizemores of Tipp City get support from the land down under.

"They think it's cosmetic, but it can easily take a life." Eric Sizemore of Tipp City is fighting for his life.

He was diagnosed with stage three melanoma 2 1/2 years ago. It has now spread to his brain.

Through internet research, Eric's wife, Jill, found another melanoma patient in Australia.

His condition matched that of Eric's.

Throughout the threat of illness, Jay Allen of Australia and and the Sizemores of Tipp CIty have forged a bond.

Eric is going through aggressive treatment to arrest tumors that have spread to his brain.

Jay has always been there for support and now his trip to the U-S adds to the support for the Sizemores.
