DAYTON, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) - The Liz Claiborne distribution center in West Chester will close Sept. 1 and include 365 lost jobs.
The company, which previously announced the pending closure, disclosed the total job count in a filing with the state of Ohio.
The cuts began in January and will continue until the 900,000-square-foot center on Jaqueman Drive officially closes.
Of the affected workers, 302 are union members represented by Worker’s United, Chicago and Midwest Regional Joint Board.
A company spokesperson previously said it plans to sell the facility “due to changing business needs.”
“We are evolving to a new distribution model that better meets the current and future demands of our business,” the spoksperson wrote in an e-mail.
