MASON, Ohio (WDTN) - Kings Island on Wednesday surpassed the $500,000 mark in money raised in the fight against breast cancer awareness through its Kings Island for the Cure campaign since 2010, including over $100,000 so far this season.
Through August 25, visitors to Kings Island can purchase discounted price of just $29.99 online at visitkingsisland.com - a savings of $24 off the regular adult front gate admission price. One dollar from each ticket sold online during “Pink Days” goes to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Cincinnati affiliate as part of the third annual Kings Island for the Cure campaign.
Park guests can also help in the fight against breast cancer by splashing a pink rubber Snoopy into the park’s fountain on International Street. Snoopy’s are just $5 for one or five for $20 and can be purchased at the park, online at visitkingsisland.com, or at Huntington Bank locations.
On August 25, one lucky Snoopy will be randomly selected from the fountain and the owner of that Snoopy will win a brand new 2012 Honda Fit, courtesy of Kings Honda and Performance Honda. All proceeds from the Snoopy sales go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Cincinnati affiliate.
