FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — The widower of an Ohio woman killed in a January crash has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against a truck driver and the company that owned the vehicle.
The Journal Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/12ONQOy ) Mark Dealey's lawsuit filed Tuesday in federal court in Fort Wayne is the third filed in connection with the New Haven crash.
His suit names Kutzler Express and truck driver Scott A. Saunders, who caused a six-vehicle crash when he failed to slow down at an intersection and rear-ended a line of vehicles.
Dealey's 43-year-old wife, Sandra Dealey of Convoy, Ohio, died from blunt-force trauma in the crash that killed another woman.
Court documents say Dealey is suing for funeral expenses, wages Sandra would have earned at work and compensation for Dealey and the couple's six children.
