Man gets at least 270 years in Greenwood rape

FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) — A central Indiana man who was convicted in February of raping a Greenwood woman while her 1-year-old daughter slept nearby has been sentenced to at least 270 years in prison.
Thirty-four-year old Shawn Corbally was sentenced Monday on charges of rape, burglary, criminal confinement and criminal deviate conduct.
The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/YLXdcW ) a Johnson Circuit Court judge also imposed two 20-year sentences to run concurrently. It wasn't clear if those sentences would extend the 270-year term.
Corbally's release from the Marion County Jail in Indianapolis days before the July attack led to new procedures for rearrested sex offenders. Corbally was released from prison in February 2010 after serving less than 12 years of a 25-year sentence for a September 2000 rape conviction.
